Agency Announces its October C. Well Sweepstakes Winners

The Center for Vision Loss announced the October winners of its C. Well Sweepstakes winners on Thursday.

The winners were Stan Hause of Fredonia, PA; Gwen Holmes of Macungie, PA; Vicki Michalerya of Northampton, PA; Grace Parry of Allentown, PA; and Don Wagaman of Allentown, PA.

Contestants have eight more chances to win during this year’s sweepstakes and tickets may be submitted until May 30.

Drawing winners receive $50, or $100 if they win more than once in the same drawing period. Sweepstakes proceeds benefit the agency and its services – which empower people with visual impairments to claim personal independence and promote healthy eyesight throughout Pennsylvania’s Lehigh, Northampton, and Monroe counties. The 2020-2021 sweepstakes has brought in more than $12,000 to date.

The sweepstakes is open to Pennsylvania residents ages 18 and up, and tickets can be requested by phone at 610.433.6018, Ext. 242. Suggested donations are $10 per ticket, or $50 for six tickets.

Official rules and eligibility requirements are available on the C. Well Sweepstakes webpage. A donation does not increase an entrant’s chance of winning.

The Center for Vision Loss empowers people with visual impairments to seize their independence and advances healthy eyesight. With operations in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley and Monroe County, it combines a service tradition motivated by Helen Keller’s advocacy in 1928 with contemporary practices and state-of-the-art technologies. The organization’s support and rehabilitation services promote the accomplishment of daily tasks, increased access to medical services and food supplies, enhanced personal wellness, and extended self-sufficiency. Its free vision screenings for children stimulate success in school and its community education programs advocate for eye health and safety. All agency services are provided at little or no cost, and 85% of its clients and patients with visual impairments are from low-income households.

The Center for Vision Loss is an independent member of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind (PAB) that is accredited nationally by the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER) and affiliated with the VisionServe Alliance, a network of nearly 120 North American agencies that serve people with impaired sight.
